In the blink of an eye, our journey together has come to an end. My old friend, a steadfast companion, has brought immense joy and a fair share of grey hairs over the years.
From the start, this friend was a marvel, pushing me to be a better professional and enabling me to create stunning results for my clients. Its capabilities were remarkable, but like any long-term relationship, there were challenges along the way. Compared to newer models, its flaws became apparent, reminding me that no technology stays perfect forever.
Travelling with this friend was an adventure in itself. Lugging heavy cases through bustling airports and remote locations across Australia tested my endurance. Each trip was a lesson in resilience. I remember heated discussions with airport security about the drone batteries, each time learning a bit more about patience and preparation.
Despite the challenges, the joy of this companionship was undeniable. The places we visited together, from stunning beaches to rugged outback landscapes, were unforgettable. Each location offered new opportunities and the chance to meet incredible people. These experiences were the true reward, more valuable than any footage captured or project completed.
Yet, the time to say goodbye was inevitable. As technology advances rapidly, clients’ expectations grow higher, and the need to embrace new challenges becomes constant. My old friend, as dear as it was to me, could no longer keep up with the demands of modern-day projects.
So, with a heavy heart but a hopeful outlook, I bid farewell to my DJI Inspire 2 drone. You were more than just a drone; you were a partner in creativity, a tool that helped me grow and excel. For over six years, through crashes and replacements, you remained a steadfast companion. In the end, I had two DJI Inspire 2s, each contributing to my journey in its unique way.
And now, I welcome my new friend, the DJI Inspire 3. Here’s to new adventures, more stunning results, and another chapter in this ever-evolving journey.
What about you? What is your best drone, and what unforgettable memories have you made with it?
Best,
Rodrigo Branco Matsumoto.
