We are thrilled to announce that Sky Perth has received remarkable approval from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) to operate drones Beyond the Visual Line of Sight (EVLOS – Class 1) and, most importantly, near people. We are the first company to receive this approval in Australia, a significant milestone for our company story.

For our clients and any business interested in having FPV drone services, this approval means we can legally operate drones in more areas, including close to people, making our services more accessible and versatile.

At Sky Perth, we believe that FPV drone technology is changing the game for the cinema and video production industry. It enables us to easily capture stunning aerial footage and execute complex maneuvers, resulting in breathtaking shots that were previously impossible to achieve.

The CASA application approvals that we received are as follows:

  • CASA. EVLOS.0105 – Operation of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Beyond Visual Line of Sight, and
  • CASA.RPAS.0678 – Operation of Remotely Piloted Aircraft near people.

These approvals are not easy to obtain and require a lot of hard work and dedication from our team.

We are proud to lead the way in the drone industry and are excited about the opportunities this approval will bring. With our experience and expertise, we are confident we can provide high-quality services to our clients safely and legally.
