WEBUILD & NRW | FORRESTFIELD-AIRPORT LINK PROJECT

About the project

In April 2016, the Public Transport Authority awarded the design, construction and maintenance contract to Salini Impregilo – NRW Joint VentureWebuild Group.

The Forrestfield-Airport Link has delivered a new rail service to the eastern suburbs of Perth – with three new stations at Redcliffe, Airport Central and High Wycombe.

The rail link, now known as the Airport Line, forms part of the METRONET vision to create liveable communities connected by world-class public transport. The line spurs off the existing Midland Line near Bayswater Station and runs to High Wycombe through twin-bored tunnels.

The Sky Perth team was commissioned to capture aerial and ground videography of the final stages of the project. Our challenge was to work closely with CASA to get all permits required to operate drones close to the main runway of the International Perth airport.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Achieved Goals

Using state-of-the-art drones, we could fly close to train stations and airports to capture footage of the construction progress.

By utilizing cutting-edge drone technology, our team collected detailed images of train station developments and documented the changes happening within airport grounds.

Once the footage was collected, it was delivered on time to be edited by the team in Milan, Italy. By working together with CASA, we guarantee professional and ethical drone filming services for all projects.

We are proud to provide high-quality, reliable drone footage that meets the highest safety standards.
